MAKING THE WORK HAPPEN

How we develop ideas, create the work, collaborate with delivery teams and get everything ready to go.

  1. A · Ready to start
  2. B · Direction and concepts
  3. C · Creative review
  4. D · Revisions
  5. E · Production
  6. F · Delivery
AReady to start.+

The Studio owns the thinking. Pillars own the execution.

It's our job as a creative agency to deliver the best work possible for the client, and that comes from everyone doing their role. Our studio is the creative engine of the agency: the idea starts with the Studio, and then the relevant teams execute and make it happen.

Briefing happens ahead of time for people to absorb. Design starts once there's a clear idea, and every idea gets internal critique before it leaves. All work, files and references live inside the Asana task, with links directly to Google Drive.

Each creative works on a maximum of five projects at a time, so every project gets proper focus.

Ready when

  • The brief is in writing and set up in Asana.
  • Briefing happens ahead of time so people can absorb it.
  • Budget and production parameters are known.
  • All files and references live in the Asana task, linked to Drive.

Success comes from

  • Budget vs profit
  • Delivery
  • Execution
  • Promptness
  • Client management
BDirection and concepts.+

Get inspired, get sharp, then be brave.

Owner · The Studio

Everything starts with moodboards — inspiration and talking it through as a team, so creative direction is set. Start with who the competitors are, what interesting things are happening in the industry, and whether the client wants to disrupt or play it safe.

Get sharp on what this needs to do in the world: the cultural moment, what the brand needs to shift, where we can create attention rather than just presence, and how we can look at it through an entertainment lens.

When creating campaigns we start with 2–3 concepts. This lets us play with different themes and take clients on a journey with our ideas. We always show them something creative and out of the box, have fun with the concept and don't play it safe — it's our job as creatives to BE CREATIVE.

Each concept includes a core idea, a campaign line, visual direction, key pillar execution, how it shows up across social, experience and brand, and early activation ideas. This goes into the workable deck with clear, concise storytelling.

↘ PROJECTS MAX · PER CREATIVE

FIVE.MAX.

It's the Pillar lead's role to resource each project efficiently, with internal team or external freelance support. Is this a good fit? Do they have passion for the project? Will they learn something? Do they have annual leave coming up?

↘ BEFORE ANYONE OPENS A FILE

GET SHARP. GET INSPIRED.

Everything starts with moodboards. Talk it through as a team. Creative direction gets set before anyone opens a file.

GET INSPIRED.

  • Who are the competitors?
  • What's happening in the industry?
  • Does the client want to disrupt, or play it safe?

GET SHARP.

Push past polite. What does this work need to do in the world?

  • What's the cultural moment?
  • What does the brand need to shift?
  • Where can we earn attention, not just presence?
  • How do we look at this through an entertainment lens?

↘ THE IDEAS

TWO TO THREE CONCEPTS.

When creating campaigns we start with 2–3 concepts. This allows us to play with different themes and take clients on a journey with our ideas. We should always show them something creative and out of the box. It's our job as creatives to BE CREATIVE.

  • A core idea / thought
  • A campaign line
  • Visual direction
  • Key pillar execution
  • How it shows up across social, experience, and brand
  • Early activation ideas

↘ BEFORE IT LEAVES THE BUILDING

AM I PROUD OF THIS?

ASK YOURSELF.

  • Am I proud of this?
  • Would I put this in my portfolio?
  • Did I do my best, or just try and get something out the door?
  • Have I answered the brief?
  • Does it follow brand guardrails?

ALWAYS CHECK.

  • Spelling
  • Bleed marks
  • Font embedding
  • Hierarchy
  • Branding
CCreative review.+

Checked by the Creative Lead and something we're proud of.

Owner · Creative Lead

All creative is checked with the Creative Lead. Ask yourself: Am I proud of this? Would I put it in my portfolio? Did I do my best? Have I answered the brief? As a brand guardian, does this follow all necessary guardrails?

From a quality control perspective, check spelling, bleed marks, font embedding, hierarchy and branding.

When showing the work, it's handed back to the Account / Project Leads with clear rationale — not just visuals — and feedback is gathered in a structured way.

DRevisions.+

Revisions should strengthen the idea, not dilute it.

Owner · CS + Studio

Revisions are part of the project, but they should strengthen the idea, not dilute it. We keep this stage structured and intentional — focused rounds, objective conversations and confident recommendations.

We always come back to the core: does this still ladder up to the idea, does it make the work stronger, and are we solving the brief rather than personal preference? We guide clients through decisions.

Account Directors and Project Leads need to be confident in challenging clients. Always go back to the brief — are we hitting the KPIs, and are we looking at it through an entertaining lens? Feedback is written by people, not ChatGPT.

Always come back to

  • Does it still ladder up to the idea?
  • Does it make the work stronger?
  • Are we solving the brief, not preference?
  • Are we hitting the KPIs?
  • Is it entertaining?

How we work

  • Structured, intentional rounds.
  • We guide clients through decisions.
  • Account Directors and Project Leads confidently challenge.
  • Feedback is written by people, not ChatGPT.

↘ THE PRINCIPLE

REVISIONS SHOULDSTRENGTHEN THE IDEA,NOT DILUTE IT.

We keep this stage structured and intentional. Not endless rounds. Not subjective back-and-forth. Not just saying yes to the client. We guide clients through decisions — we don't just take orders. Feedback should not come through ChatGPT. It needs to be written.

↘ THE FILTER

ASK OF EVERY ROUND.

  • Does this still ladder up to the idea?
  • Does it make the work stronger?
  • Are we solving the brief, not personal preference?
  • Are we hitting the KPIs?
  • Are we looking at things through an entertaining lens?

The idea starts in Studio; the pillars make it happen.

Owner · The Pillars

Once the work is ready, it moves to the relevant team and the pillars execute: Brand stays in the Studio; Social handles rollout, content, publishing and paid media; Experience handles build, logistics, activation and delivery; Merch handles production and distribution.

The Experience team provides a Production Considerations Deck before the Studio develops experiential concepts, shaping creative thinking around materials, indicative budgets, space, operations, feasibility and production approach from the outset.

If the Studio needs Experience to source specific items, props or dressing, give clear direction on exactly what's required — with reference imagery and how flexible the solution can be. Build with production feasibility and audience flow in mind, understand material limits and provide artwork by agreed deadlines.

Pillars execute

  • Brand — stays in Studio
  • Social — rollout, content, publishing, paid media
  • Experience — build, logistics, activation
  • Merch — production, distribution

Working with Experience

  • Use their Production Considerations Deck before concepting.
  • Design with feasibility, audience flow and materials in mind.
  • Give clear sourcing direction with reference imagery.
  • Deliver artwork by agreed deadlines.

Needs clarification: Studio versus pillar responsibility for execution.

↘ THE PILLARS

PILLARS EXECUTE.

01 · BRAND.

Doesn't leave studio. The thinking stays where it started.

02 · SOCIAL.

Rollout, content, publishing, paid media.

03 · EXPERIENCE.

Build, logistics, activation, delivery.

04 · MERCH.

Production, distribution. Ideation to delivery.

↘ THE STANDARD

HIGH QUALITY DELIVERYIS AT THE FOREFRONT.

Client growth is the overall goal.

FDelivery.+

Packaged, labelled and handed over beautifully.

Final assets are uploaded to Google Drive by the Account team, and packaged files by the Creative team — clearly labelled and organised. Working files are delivered if specified at the start of the project, or at additional cost.

For all Creative and Merchandise work, a senior creative reviews it against the brief and approves from both a design and accuracy point of view. The CS or Merchandise Manager then checks it against the client brief as a second pair of eyes for grammar. Any print over £500 has a third check.

Before any deadline is agreed, delivery teams align with CS. Work is completed ahead of the deadline to allow internal tweaks, and decks are delivered one hour before the meeting. If a deadline is at risk, tell the CS team immediately.

Final outcome

  • Final assets uploaded to Drive by the Account team.
  • Packaged files uploaded by the Creative team.
  • Clearly labelled and organised.
  • Working files if agreed or charged.

Approvals

  • Senior creative approves design and accuracy.
  • CS or Merch Manager checks the brief and grammar.
  • Print over £500 gets a third check.
  • Decks delivered one hour before the meeting.
